I loved my sigma lens, but it is an old lens that I used on my film camera, and that was before I knew to use a clear filter to protect the lens, so I use it sparingly now. I far prefer my Tamron over my Sigma macro, but I also seriously considered buying a Nikon macro, since Nikon is known in the business for having the best, sturdiest optics. If you use Canon, though, that might be an issue. ;-)
