this is me, letting it be

So after reading your comments on my last post (which I loved, by the way), I've decided that blogging is definitely kind of weird. Pink Dreaming, you said it so perfectly when you commented about chatting with your blogger friend and how you simply knew more about her than she knew about you. I love that you slapped her on the knee and laughed like you were old buddies. But isn't that why blogging is so cool, too? Still, when you have a blog and someone reads it and then you meet them for the first time, its like they have an unfair advantage. The social scale is kind of off balance.

But you know what else I've decided? I think I'm gonna just go with it. So this is me, embracing the weirdness.
Actually, this is Andy Warhol me. Andy Warhol me with my U-Haul box. Because we're moving in 2 days. And I have nothing better to do than to take pictures of me and my big self.

Oooooo...super groovy!! I can't believe you're moving in two days!!! You'll have to post more before and afters of the new house. I love those. They are so fun.

Oh, and I love Brooke. It was her time to go, though.

Hi Emily,

I'm praying for your move tomorrow to go smoothly!

And to keep the scales balanced I will tell you what I am doing tomorrow...the same thing I am doing today minus laundry, because Monday and Friday are my laundry days.

I'm so glad that you're still blogging. I'm willing to not ever meet you in person just so you'll keep writing. You are a bright spot to my day when I do get a chance to lurk. You're a great writer and a thoughtful person. I pray your move goes well with all your little ones.

Re: Yesterday & Today's Post

Sometimes I think, "Gosh I love this person's blog. They should write a book. Or have a magazine."

Then I think well, why would they do that?! Blogs are better. By the time a book or magazine comes out, those cloches at Michaels would be gone. The online sale at Coldwater Creek would be over.

So books and magazines are considered normal. Blogs are the new book. I'd much rather surf the blog world then read a magazine or even a STACK of magazines.

And I always prefer magazines that feature real peoples homes / artists / crafters homes instead of designer showcases (ie: Mary Engelbreits Home Companion - can't spell her name).

So, in conclusion, blogging is normal. And btw, I consider myself someone who knows you in person. But now we are socially unbalanced because I know a lot about you and you're still like, "Jessica who?" :-P

Umm that was an incomplete thought there... What I was trying to say about magazines is that I like blogs because they are like the best part of a magazine. Real people with real resources.

I'm done hogging your comment page now.

Yes, I do think that is why blogging is so cool.

If I would have never met my bloggy friend on her blog, then I wouldn't have blabbed at her. When I saw her again, it probably would have been another one of those chitty-chatty, meaningless..."we should get together sometime" type conversations. Now I think we will become friends and have something real to talk about…not sure, but I think….

How do you propose bloggers balance the social scale? duh...i think that is what you were asking…

I like listening to Brook’s raspy voice…but it sounds kinda sad…I hope you aren’t sad. In my mind, you are always skipping around cheery! Oh..I also like how your eyes look really fancy in the Warhol pictures. You really do crack me up! Good luck with the move!!!!!!!

Good luck with your move.

Make sure you set up and make the beds as soon as you get in the house. That way when you're dog-tired at the end of the day you don't walk into the bedrooms and find you have to put together or put sheets on your beds. That's a major bummer.

I'm afraid that if anyone who read my blog met me in real life they'd be sadly disappointed, especially when they see how shy and socially retarded I am.
I think if I saw you or the Nester in real life, I wouldn't admit who I was, I'd be too bashful and content to watch from a distance like a real lurker and besides, what would I call your sister? Rumplestiltskin Nester?
I hope your move isn't overly stressful and that all those naked babies (who were naked several months ago) will be adequately protected in their box and won't catch a chill. Oh wait, I forget it's warm in some places, because here we still get snow at least once a week. (I'm not exxagerating.) In that case, I hope they don't get sunburned.

I kind of like the idea of someone reading my kooky, zany thoughts and ideas and deciding they would still like to get to know me better. I love your pictures.
